About

Tina Doley Carlson, CMT-P is a certified mindfulness facilitator, writer and speaker who works at museums, libraries, private homes, schools, offices and regularly with UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, where she has taught MAPs introductory classes, mentored teacher trainees and assisted with the incomparable Psychiatry 175.  She sees private clients and has experience partnering with therapists to bring mindfulness to first responders and those suffering from trauma or chronic pain. She has enjoyed offering family programs in mindfulness, creativity and compassion at the Hammer Museum, and working on studies with UCLA’s Schools of Medicine, Public Health and Education. She has consulted on app development, been a facilitator for parents at the Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program at the Semel Institute, and a guest speaker at numerous universities and corporations. She has taught locally and internationally to school faculty, parents, and students of all ages. Recently, she completed a video series for six southern California school districts with UCLA Health, was the consultant for a Random House children’s book, and helped produce guided meditations in 17 different languages. She loves helping people gain skills to alleviate suffering and recognize awareness, especially with a curious, playful approach..
