  • Gain an understanding of different meditation techniques.
  • Discover tools for working with obstacles to mindfulness, including working with physical pain, difficult emotions, racing thoughts and anxiety.

TESTIMONIALS

“As someone who has never taken a mindfulness class before, I was a little hesitant, thinking that I would feel out of place with the mindfulness crowd but Tina had such a sincere openness about her that she immediately made me feel comfortable. I didn’t need to know anything about mindfulness or meditation to participate and benefit from her extensive knowledge. Tina is a fantastic teacher, she teaches simple and effective methods that you can use not only in class but throughout your day to manage stress, anxiety and all sorts of feelings that can creep up. I am so grateful that Tina introduced me to this practice, it changed my life.”  Kasia M, Photographer, Los Angeles, California

“I wanted to follow-up and say how amazing it was to take the MAPS 1 class with Tina.   It has been a real gift.  She truly taught me how to fish by giving me a ground-up practical understanding of mindfulness.  What it is, how to approach it and most importantly, how to make it work for me.   These are lessons that will last a lifetime and ones that I will be able to pass on to my son. I can’t speak for the class but can certainly attest to them wanting it not to end, watching how much Tina’s teaching affected them and to the fact they all expressed similar sentiments during the class. Tina’s an amazing teacher.  I can’t say much else other than I signed up my mother for her MAPS class this term.  I can’t think of a higher compliment.” – Geordie S, Filmmaker, Toronto, Canada

“Tina has a gift for making mindfulness accessible and relevant. Her teaching style is warm and engaging, imbued with wit and wisdom. She brings a playful spirit and lively curiosity to her classes and encourages the same in her students.  At the same time, her skill at deep, compassionate listening creates a welcoming space for honest sharing and mutual insight. I’ve found her to be a wonderfully knowledgeable and encouraging guide along the path of mindfulness and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and continue this journey together!” – Deborah W, Ph.D., CYT, Chicago, Illinois

“Tina’s Mindfulness class has been life changing for me. I routinely struggle with feeling, “wound up,” trying to do and be all things for my family. Mindfulness practice helps me ground myself back in my body and focus on the only thing I really can control, which is myself. Thank you, Tina, for helping me learn, and continue to practice, healthy, life-changing self-care.” –  Linda H., Parent, St. Louis, Missouri

“Taking Tina’s class was amazing! I learned new tools to deal with obstacles that appeared during my meditation, which helped me so much with my anxiety.  She introduced a sense of playfulness and lightheartedness into meditation, and I learned that it didn’t have to be such a serious thing.  Thank you, Tina! – Jazmine P, UCLA Student, Los Angeles, California
